Impossible is Impossible

This blog is my way of reflecting upon life. Life is about living and learning. As I live and learn I’m going to reflect upon this life I lead. Hopefully I'll offer something insightful with my postings. If you learn nothing else from me, know this that “impossible is impossible”.

This Day

I woke up at 6 a.m. this morning to drive in to the station by 7 in order to hold down the web center for a few hours, since one of my colleagues suffered a death in the family.

At one point one of the anchors walked back to the web center, saw me, and asked, "You running the mother ship by yourself?"
I replied yes.
He said, "Hot damn."
I laughed to myself.

After leaving work I picked up a backfin crab cake platter with fries and mac and cheese for myself and my mother, since she'd been craving it. Then i went and picked up cupcakes from Charm City Cupcakes for my family.

I'm chilling for the next few hours, then will try to will myself to have a nap so I'm not dragging when I drive back to work at 12:30 to work on the Saturday morning show.

That's all for now.

Everybody Needs Someone Whose Good For Their Ego

This weekend was full of work and more work.

On Friday, I went in at 9 p.m. and worked overnight until about 9 a.m. Saturday morning. This was followed by sleeping most of my Saturday away, because when you work overnights you spend most of the time before going to work, trying to go to sleep.

Perhaps the highlight of my weekend, because I worked today as well, was a pow wow with one of the reporters at the station where I work.

As I commiserated about my being what I call the station "step child" she laughed but then offered words of encouragement.

You know her talking to me about her own path to where she is now, her path to being happy and content, was food for thought.

She also reminded me of all the things I'm capable of, and all the things I have yet to accomplish.

You see sometimes we really do need to remember our own potential.

Sometimes we need to hear it from friends, besides everybody needs someone whose good for their ego.
