It's Been Forever

Hello blogland.

It's been a while since I checked in with those of you who still read this LoL.

As I write this I'm watching "Good Times" the episode where J.J. paints a black Jesus.

This week was a bit busy as I returned from a trip to Tampa, adjusted to work, and juggled the 50 million tasks I had no business volunteering to do.

I should be getting ready for work at the T.V. station. After tonight hopefully I'll possibly get to enjoy the 80 plus degree weekend. I already saw The Soloist earlier this week. So I'm thinking I'll maybe see "Obsessed" which I call the black "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle". Tomorrow my friend Aprill and I may visit Belvedere Square the buppie market where all the foodies go ha. That's us below looking rather fly.

Hopefully I'll remember to update you all more often.

You Get Looks In 2009?

So earlier tonight I went out to dinner with a friend from college.

We were supposed to catch up last Thursday but we both forgot.

She's a senior at LoCo, so we went to a restaurant near campus called Tambers.

The two of us get the strangest looks when we go out.

She's white, I'm black, and even in 2009 I guess that's not ok.

I've only noticed the looks once when we went out.

She said that we got quite a few today.

Of course to she and I it doesn't matter though I said, "Hey what do they know we could plan on making a little Barack Obama."

The two of us got a laugh out of that.

But yeah it kind of surprise me to find the weird looks in a city like Bmore.
