Impossible is Impossible

This blog is my way of reflecting upon life. Life is about living and learning. As I live and learn I’m going to reflect upon this life I lead. Hopefully I'll offer something insightful with my postings. If you learn nothing else from me, know this that “impossible is impossible”.

A Lesson From Friendship

I'm so excited my that friend Kallie who I affectionately call my "T.V. Wife" is auditioning to win the chance to host her own show on Oprah's new network OWN-TV. Kallie and I went to college together and we hosted shows on the campus television and radio station's. She was my first female co-anchor and that's why I call her my "T.V. Wife."

A few weeks back we had dinner (and she took me to a hookah bar) to celebrate my new job in New York. As always we had a great conversation on topics that ranged from our careers, education, media, dating, and society at large. Thankfully as I grow older, I grow wiser, and know the value of humility. I discovered that I owed my friend an apology because I can now admit that at times I mistreated her because I viewed her as my competitor. We're fine now. We're great friends who seek not to compete with one another but to inspire one another, and support one another. I think we're each other's biggest cheerleaders. Kallie affectionately calls me her "P.R."

So if you have the time check out Kallie's idea for her own talk show and vote for my dear friend Kallie. http://tinyurl.com/264a8yp

I'm so grateful that my friendship with her taught me that often someone else's success can taste just as sweet as your very own.
